Hit it into the pocket

KAMPAR MP Datuk Lee Chee Leong trying his shot at a snooker game after opening a snooker competition, organised by Malaysia United Youth Movement (GBBM) Kampar division recently.

Lee said snooker was seen a game of hobby rather than a form of sports.

"If snooker can be promoted institutionalised as sports, we might one day achieve international standards in various competitions," he said.

Lee, who is also deputy Home Minister, said snooker game does not require a large amount of stamina but it is a game of strategy.

"It will enhance players' thinking skills since it utilises well the human brain," he said.

Division president Ng Lee Kee and advisor Han Su Ling were present at the opening ceremony.
